The nuclear program of Iran was launched in the 1950s with the help of the United States as part of the Atoms for Peace program. The support, encouragement and participation of the United States and Western European governments in Iran's nuclear program continued until the 1979 Iranian Revolution that toppled the Shah of Iran.
After the 1979 revolution, the Iranian government temporarily disbanded elements of the program, and then revived it with less Western assistance than during the pre-revolution era. Iran's nuclear program has included several research sites, two uranium mines, a research reactor, and uranium processing facilities that include three known uranium enrichment plants.
After delays, Iran's first nuclear power plant, Bushehr I reactor was complete with major assistance of Russian government agency RosAtom and was officially opened in a ceremony on 12 September 2011. Iran has announced that it is working on a new 360 MW nuclear power plant to be located in Darkhovin. Iran has also indicated that it will seek more medium-sized nuclear power plants and uranium mines in the future.
In November 2011, the IAEA Board of Governors rebuked Iran following an IAEA report Iran had undertaken research and experiments geared to developing a nuclear weapons capability. Iran rejected the details of the report and accused the IAEA of pro-Western bias and threatened to reduce its cooperation with the IAEA.
My question is that US was the country who help to start Iran,s nuclear program, that time Iran was heading towards modern state and when US and its allies smell that there is an Islamic Revolution in Iran then they change their view point about the Iran,s Nuclear Program.
Iran is asking for the last many years that its nuclear program is for safe purpose and for peaceful purpose then what are the issues with US, that he is creating troubles for Iran, why US is threatening for sanctions. There is Russia, Pakistan , India and more than 150 countries in the world then why only US and its puppets are crying, what kind of fear they have with Iran,s Nuclear Program.
Iran is a rich oil country and thats the problem. Iraq's nuclear progame was also destroyed for the same reason.. Pakistan got unchecked bcoz we were not rich in Oil at that time... but now our could be one of the richest nation as well with all the resources that have been discovered..
